Roryah
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
Your celebration is personal, and so is your information. This policy explains, in plain words, what Roryah collects, why, who can see it, and the choices you have. It covers this website and the Roryah app.
1. Who we are
Roryah is an event planning app, made with weddings at heart. When this policy says “Roryah”, “we” or “us”, it means the Roryah team. You can reach us at any time at roryahsa@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
On this website
- Your email address, only if you ask to be notified when we launch, together with your chosen language and the time you signed up.
- We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this website. We remember your language choice in your own browser only.
In the app
- Account details — your name and your phone number or email address. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the name and email they share with us.
- Your events — event type, date, venue, checklist, reminders and co-hosts you invite.
- Your guests — names and phone numbers you add yourself, choose from your contacts, or import from a spreadsheet. We only read the contacts you select; we never upload your whole address book.
- Invitations and photos — invitation designs and any pictures you choose to upload.
- Vendors and bookings — if you offer a service: your business details, commercial registration number, prices and availability. For everyone: booking requests, orders, reviews and messages with our team.
- Community posts — ideas and photos you share in the inspiration feed, and any reports you make.
- Feedback you send us.
- Device information — a notification token so we can send you reminders and updates.
The app uses your camera only to scan guest QR codes at the door; images from scanning are not saved. It asks for access to your contacts and photos only when you choose to use those features.
3. How we use it
- To run the app: plan your events, send your invitations, check guests in and connect you with vendors.
- To send reminders and updates you've asked for.
- To keep Roryah safe: verify vendors, review reported posts and prevent misuse.
- To improve Roryah using the feedback you give us.
- To let you know when we launch, if you joined our waiting list.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Who can see your information
- People you plan with — co-hosts you invite can see that event. Gate keepers you assign can see the guest list they need to check guests in.
- Vendors see the booking details you send them, and you see the profile they publish.
- Other Roryah users can see posts you share in the community feed.
- Your guests receive the invitation you send them.
- Service providers who help us run Roryah: Google Firebase (sign-in, secure database and notifications), and Google or Apple if you choose to sign in with them. When you share an invitation by WhatsApp or text message, it is sent through that app on your phone.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it.
5. Guests' information
When you add guests, please make sure they are happy for you to share their name and number with Roryah for your invitation. We use guest details only to deliver your invitations and manage entry to your event — never to contact them for anything else.
6. Where it is stored and how we protect it
Your information is stored securely with Google Firebase, which may keep data on servers outside your country. Access is limited by strict security rules, and connections are encrypted. No system is perfect, but we work to protect your information and will tell you if a breach affects you.
7. How long we keep it
- Waiting list emails: until we launch and let you know, or sooner if you ask us to remove yours.
- App information: for as long as your account is active, or until you ask us to delete it.
Please note: “Delete account” in the app removes your sign-in. To also delete your events, guests and other information, email us at roryahsa@gmail.com and we will remove them.
8. Your rights
In line with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law and similar laws, you can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, give you a copy, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Just email us and we will reply as soon as we can.
9. Children
Roryah is made for adults planning events. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us their details, please contact us and we will delete them.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we will update the date above and let you know in the app or by email.
